Currently studying Horticulture at Trident Technical College, working at Roots & Shoots Nursery, and building toward a career designing outdoor spaces in Charleston.

I spent years helping tech founders and entrepreneurs turn ideas into working products, designing logos and visual identities for over 200 businesses and nonprofits, and leading digital product design across healthcare, fundraising, and HR tech.
The work I cared about most always had the same thing in common: understanding what someone actually needs, then building something real around it.
Now I'm applying the same client-first approach that shaped my design career to a new craft: landscape design. As of Fall 2026, I'm starting the Horticulture program at Trident Technical College, and I'm getting my hands dirty (literally) working at local nursery Roots & Shoots. The long-term goal is to become a Landscape Designer here in Charleston, creating outdoor spaces that are beautiful, functional, and built to last.
In 2018, my wife, Lizzy, and I hit the road as full-time digital nomads, exploring the country in a 1984 Rockwood motorhome. We settled in Charleston in 2020, and we couldn't be happier to have landed right back where we started!
When I'm not studying plant IDs or elbow-deep in potting soil, you'll find me playing music or making my daughters laugh.
Previous work in digital design
I designed an EdTech app that parents and teachers actually want to use. A classroom feed for parents leads to seamless giving for teachers.

I redesigned complex legacy software with thousands of real users, working within constraints to improve key workflows.

I led the design of this employee engagement software from desktop to a native mobile app. In the process, I refreshed and streamlined the UX to improve usability issues and increase adoption.

I designed an app to allow political campaigners to increase fundraising efficiency and foster meaningful donor relationships.
